Back in 2011 India was gearing up for its first Formula One race, watchmaker Tag Heuer launched a special “India Racing Edition” watch to commemorate the event.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Tachymeter Chronograph watch was chosen for this special edition whose design includes colours of the Indian flag, saffron and green, while the “Mastering Speed for 150 years” logo was placed on the dial as well as on the stainless steel case back.
The chronograph hand, along with the thread stitching on the leather strap, is in India saffron colours.
We picked this up from someone who worked with the Force India race team at the time.
Comes boxed, in brand new condition, with all papers etc.
Not usually a fan of leather strapped watches but this one is really nice, the crocodile strap has a deployment buckle so feels very upmarket.
The Carrera range of watches is one of the best TAG produce so not only does this watch have a bit of history attached to it … it’s a cracking time piece as well!
