By far our nicest (and most expensive) TAG Heuer to date, this 43mmchronographic version is one of TAG’s top of the range models.
Being brand new you get a 2 year TAG Heuer warranty, all the usual box and paperwork PLUS you’ll get a Wolf 1834 1.8 Module watch winder (£200) to keep this automatic beauty charged up when not in use.
Reborn with a timeless aesthetic and state-of-the-art engineering, this TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Chronograph is inspired by motor-sport racing, and revisits many characteristics of the original Carrera models.
The immaculately designed watch features a 100 meter water resistant fine brushed stainless steel casing, which acts as a shield of armour for the delicate yet incredibly powerful Caliber Heuer 01 automatic Swiss movement.
The movement provides a 50 hour power reserve (40 with the chronograph function running) and features a black treated rotor with red text and blackened bridges on the movement top.
The dial itself is incredibly technical – a design choice by masters at TAG Heuer that only enhances the beautiful craftsmanship involved and reflects the complexity of the brand’s skill.
A matt black dial showcases a silver timed 12 hour counter at 6, a 30 minute counter at 12 and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. Checking the time is effortless of course, courtesy of TAG’s choice to coat some of the dial features with a striking luminescent treatment.
Flashes of red create interest to the dial and add a sporty flare to the second hand and chronograph counter hands.
