U.K. supplied car confirmed with heritage certificate and original buff log book
Finished in Burgundy with Black leather interior, black hood and tonneau cover
4.2 Litre Original Straight Six Engine, mated to its original 4 Speed Manual Gearbox
Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate confirms this fine example was built as a Series 2 open 2 seater, right hand drive and supplied by Elmbridge Motors, Tolworthy, Surrey on the 7th November 1968.
This very early example series 2 example boasts the chassis No: 10007 being one of the first series 2 cars off the production line in October 1968, due to this and the popular demand the first 10-15 cars we’re supplied with front & rear marker lights making this a very rare example, there is a letter from an old employee of Browns Lane that supplied these cars brand new confirming along with documented history available on the internet.
The car has covered 68,000 miles from new and boasts a magnificent history file including buff log book and Mot’s and Bills dating back to the 70’s
This E Type is exceptional and a pleasure to drive and benefits from being original and unmolested with excellent paintwork, interior and chrome. This is a beautiful example of one of the most iconic cars ever made and even better it was born and bred in England.
The E Type described famously by Enzo Ferrari as “ the most beautiful car in the world and the only problem was it didn’t have a Ferrari badge”
Even by modern standards it’s no slouch being a UK version and supplied with triple SU carburettors from new the car boasts 265bhp, 283lb ft torque with a 0-60mph time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of a 150mph it’s no wonder it left all other manufacturers in its wake.
MOT & TAX exempt, however a full 12 months MOT will be supplied with the car.
Insurance is as little as £250 per year and relatively low service costs of £300 per year
