A LITTLE BACK STORY ON THIS BUS 

Robbie bought this with the plan to create something special/silly. 

After having it checked over by a specialist classic VW restorer … Robbie’s plans for ripping it to pieces, sticking body kits on it, whacking a silly engine in it and generally taking it down the non-purist restoration route where scarpered. 

They said it was too good to do that to and that he should have bought a wreck if he wanted to modify a bus like this and turn it into something it wasn’t ever meant to be. 

Despite looking ratty … it turns out this bus, imported from California in 2007, was actually a rare find in this condition and doing anything other than a tasteful restoration would be a mistake. 

He then lost interest in it, put off by the fact if he did what was in his mind it would wreck it … it’s been sat in our unit ever since.
